Rolling

Just got word from Ryan that out little girl just rolled over for him all on her own! She cried though! lol He's a very proud daddy right now!

More sleep

Boring updates - huh? :)

Kenzie slept from 8pm until 4:43am! Ryan is spending a little QT time this week with Kenzie so he has been getting up with her so I can sleep until 5:40am when its time to get ready for work. It's been nice! I haven't had this much sleep since...well I can't even remember!

I think it might be time to start letting her cry is out at 5am so she just sleeps until 7am.

Sleep

3 nights in a row of 8 hours of sleep - I could get used to this fast!! I was a little nervous that Kenzie would not sleep good since she slept the whole way to and from the hospital. We came home and I gave her a bath and we did our normal routine so she would know it was bedtime and it worked! Still no pictures - tomorrow night i'll take some.

Progress

Progress...Kenzie rolled over for the first time for us last night! She went from her tummy to her back. She wasn't happy about it and cried halfway through the roll but she did it! I was getting her to focus on a toy which was making her turn her head and body to see and then it happened...she was on her back!! Ryan was making dinner so he missed it, but he is home all week with Kenzie so I'm sure he will be trying to get her to roll for him.

The last two nights she has slept until 5am! Its been nice!!! I hope she keeps it up!!!

Long Time

It's been a long long time since I last posted anything! I'm going to try to keep this blog going again since Rick and Sue will be leaving for the winter. This blog will be really boring unless you care about every move Mckenzie makes :) Here's a family picture from Christmas at Renee's house.

Now that baby girl is almost here I will start to post again - now that I will have something interesting to blog about :) Tomorrow might be the start of baby girls entrance into the world. At 5pm I am suppose to call labor and delivery to see if they have a room, if so we will be admitted and not leave until baby girl is with us!

Long time!!

It's been a long time since I posted anything. I thought I would post a few pictures of before/after of baby girls room. We never painted or did anything to this room after we moved it. It was a little boys room before we bought the house then it turned into my salon. Which Ryan is extremely glad it is no longer my salon. We are still in the process of getting wall decor but for the most part it's completed.

26 Weeks Pregnant

Baby's crown-to-rump length is approximately 9.2 inches (that is only from the top of her head to her bottom and does not include his leg measurements). Average baby weighs almost 2 pounds and is beginning to put on weight. (If you have been eating a well-balanced diet, you probably have gained about 16-22 pounds so far.) On track at 17 lbs...Thanks to working out 5 days a week). After a month of having his eyelids sealed shut, your baby begins to open his eyes again this week. Her eyes are almost completely developed and the eyes are blue in the womb and may change colors later in life. (This is true for all races because the pupils do not have their final color until a few months after birth). Finger and toe nails continue to grow. Blood vessels start to develop in the lungs to prepare the baby for life outside the uterus.

Baby McKeever 24 Week Update

She is around 8.4 inches and will weigh approximately 1.2 pounds. Her face is basically complete now. Her eyes are close together on the front of her face and they are still shut. Her ears have moved into their final position on the sides of her head. Hair will continue to grow on her scalp and his eyelashes are well developed. Most her features look the same as they will at birth. Because she is getting plumper, she no longer has room to do cartwheels and somersaults. She practices breathing by inhaling (up to a liter/day) amniotic fluid into developing lungs.

*She is moving around everyday all day now!

6 Months Pregnant Today!

Her length is approximately 8 inches!
Baby has finally reached one pound.
She is about the size of a small baby doll and looks very human.
Skin is being produced at a higher rate than the fat is, so the skin hangs loosely.
She now can suck her thumb for real!

First Daddy Project

Our crib came on Friday! Ryan put it together that very night - we are a little excited...can you tell?! For now it sits in the loft until we are done painting (we have yet to start). I forgot to take a picture of the crib completed - tonight I will. I hope the dresser comes soon!

Tony and Tina's Wedding

Friday night a group of us went to see the Play Tony and Tina's Wedding. It was soooo funny and so much fun! You actually think you are at a wedding (a ghetto one that is - but funny!)
on stage dancing...

Baby McKeever 22 Update

Her length is approximately 7.6
Her senses are developing daily. She is learning about her body and surroundings through touch. She now shows an extremely rapid brain growth (which lasts until five years after birth).
From here out the organ systems in her body are becoming specialized for their particular functions. Updates are going to be less informative as the parts are all there - just working to get stronger now.

Room

Here is what i'm thinking....

Baby Room Ideas

Here are my 2 ideas for the baby's room. --thanks to Jim :) I like the circle theme - but they would be painted different colors, also different than the color of the wall. But I really like the square look (of course diff colors though and not a painted ceiling). Our crib and dresser should be here this week, therefore, I need to get moving on the room!

Baby McKeever Update at 21 Weeks

She is 7.2 inches and she weighs approximately 10.5 ounces. (As of Thursday she was 12oz - she's a big girl)
She is about the size of a large bananaWeight gain so far will be around 10 to 15 pounds (On track!)
I need 500 more calories a day to support my charged up metabolism
Taste buds are being formed on her tongue this week (...taco's?)
The fetal digestive system is functioning and her can now swallow

--Some women crave cigarette ashes, charcoal, beer and other non-food items during this time. (Just the crazy ones!!)

Pictures of our daughter...

With the help of Grams I was able to get these u/s pictures scanned in!
SHE (yes, it's a girl) was moving around to much so we got most of the pictures in 4D instead of 3D. It was the coolest thing ever to see her moving around!

Pictures

I have 4D Pictures from the Ultrasound I can't wait to share! I just need to find a scanner first! You can pretty much see the face and all of the legs. The 3D pictures were not working so I got 4D - which they usually charge for those! I will find a scanner this weekend though. I can send them if you have access to get pictures on your cell phone though.

BIG DAY!!

Today is a very special day for us....Ryan and I are heading to the doctors to finally see our little baby (via ultrasound)! I can't wait! I don't have a scanner but I'll find one and hopefully scan the pictures in tonight to post tomorrow. I have to drink 32oz of water within the hour before my appointment and HOLD it! It's going to be hard!!! I like to pee every 3 minutes!

I started on the babys room - just getting it ready to paint. I gave the chairrail a fresh coat of white paint but way more work is needed. Now that we can have the windows open soon I will be able to move along on the rest of the room.

--- Update ---

Length is 5.6 to 6.4 inches. The fetus weighs about 9 ounces.Scalp hair and toenails are beginning to form and the upper lip and eyebrows.
BIG BIG week this week! We get our ultrasound on THURSDAY!!!
